Face Mask Friday: Montagne Jeunesse Pawpaw Peel Off Face Mask

Hi lovelies,

Today I am going to start a new mini series on my blog, ‘Face Mask Friday’!

I have to confess that I actually can’t remember a time in my life when I’ve ever had a thorough skincare routine that included at least a weekly face mask. At the moment, I’m trying to look after my skin a little better by making a few simple and relatively inexpensive improvements to my skincare routine. I’m trying to cleanse my face more thoroughly on an evening after removing my makeup and I’m also making sure I wash my face properly in the mornings rather than just reaching for a face wipe. Recently, I did notice that I was getting quite spot prone so I’m eager to see whether giving my facial pores a more thorough cleansing routine will minimize these frequent out breaks. So far so good! Anyway, I thought another obvious improvement to my skin care routine could well be the introduction of a weekly face mask. I got the Lush Mask of Magnaminty for Christmas and this has sparked off something of an obsession with face masks. I’m also loving the Montagne Jeunesse face masks so much, I’ve collected so many of them to try. They’re such an inexpensive way to seriously indulge your skin. And what’s more, they’re also cruelty free and vegetarian society approved. So onto this week’s ‘Face Mask Friday’!

Montagne Jeunesse Pawpaw Peel off Face Mask Review

I was really excited to try this Montagne Jeunesse peel off mask from Click Health and Beauty. This Pawpaw one is a relatively new addition to the range, it sounds so exotic and almost good enough to eat!

Here’s what this Montagne Jeunesse face mask has to say for itself on the back of the pack:

‘Picked from the Tropics of South America the Pawpaw aka Papaya (known as ‘Fruit of Angels’) and Noni Fruit naturally help protect. This duo work harmoniously, revealing clean sensational skin, sent from the heavens…’

Using this face mask is simple, all you do is cleanse your skin, apply the face mask, wait 15-20 minutes and then peel it off.

This Montagne Jeunesse Pawpaw Peel off face mask left my skin looking and feeling soft, smooth, clean and refreshed.

The sachet contains a generous quantity of product (10 ml). A lot of face mask sachets contain around 6 ml so you get a good amount for your money. It would be quite possible to share just one of these face masks between two people.

It’s quite important to spread the face mask evenly across the face so that it dries evenly and you don’t end up with patches that are still wet when you want to peel it off. I also find that it’s important to avoid any areas of your face where you may have a lot of fine hairs, as this face mask can stick to them and make peeling it off a little painful. If you apply this face mask to the center of your face, carefully avoiding the eyebrows, hairline and any other fine hair around your jawline, mouth etc, you should be fine. This is something to bear in mind when using peel of face masks in general. However, I do really like the fact that peel of face masks like this one are far less messy to use than the wash off variety.

Well, that’s it for this post! Tonight, I will be trying another face mask ready for the next ‘Face Mask Friday post!
