Tuesday’s Bargain Beauty Product ‘Wanted’ List #2

Tuesday’s Product Wanted List #2 MUA Lipstick in shades 3 and 4, Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser, Derma V10 Coconut Body Butter, 17 Miracle Matte Oil Free Pressed Powder.

So, today I thought I’d share a few inexpensive beauty goodies with you that I’ve been lusting after recently.

1). MUA Lipstick in Shade 4 from either the MUA Website or Superdrug stores for £1.

This MUA lipstick in shade 4 looks like a perfect Barbie pink shade and I do love a nice girly pink lip colour! I currently own a total of 4 MUA Lipsticks (Shades 9, 12, 13 and 16) and I’ve known for a long time that I would like to add some more to my collection considering how much I love them and how inexpensive they are, plus there are 16 shades in the range altogether! So, that’s 4 down, 2 on my wish list and only 10 more to go!

2). Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Moisturiser 50ml Currently 1/3 off usual price at both Superdrug £3.32 and Boots £3.33

Recently, I’ve been trying to follow the wise words of gossmakeupartist and only mix ‘like with like’ when it comes to base makeup products. So basically what this means for me at the moment is if I’m using an oil free foundation such as my current favourite Revlon Colorstay for oily/combination skin, then I’ll likewise try to use an oil free moisturiser underneath and an oil free powder on top.

I’ve been using the Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturiser for a while now, and although I hated it at first because it made my skin so shiny, I’ve since realised it is usually OK under my makeup but I’m still not that fond of using it all the time. The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil Free moisturiser is one that a lot of oily/combination skinned ladies swear by. As it’s light and quickly absorbed, I think it might be great underneath makeup and for use as a morning/daily moisturiser. I can’t wait to try it and with 1/3 off at the moment in both Boots and Superdrug, I guess there’s no better time to try it out than now!

3). MUA Lipstick in Shade 3 from either the MUA Website or Superdrug stores for £1

I do love the MUA lipsticks (as you can probably guess since they make up 2/5 of this wishlist!) but it’s probably worth mentioning that the formulations of some of the shades do differ. Some of the more glittery shimmery shades are not my favourite (like shade 12) but the creamier more matte shades (like shades 13 and 16) are really comparable to some of the better lipsticks I’ve ever tried. I really like the look of this pinky, plummy one in shade 3.

4). Boots 17 Miracle Matte Oil Free Pressed Powder Free in Porcelain £3.99

I really want to repurchase this powder as I used up my old one about a month ago. This goes so well with the Revlon Colorstay foundation and it really does help to keep skin looking matte throughout the day (I don’t know about 16 hours though!). I am doing my best to wait until there is a good offer on before I repurchase this. Boots 17 often have 3-4-2 and free gift with purchase offers on so I’ll wait for one of those to come round again before repurchasing and then I may buy several so I don’t run out again any time soon!

5). Derma V10 Coconut Body Butter from Poundland £1 or Co-op Pharmacy £1.29.

Derma V10 is a brand that I actually first became familiar with a couple of years ago when I picked up some of their day and night facial moisturisers from Poundland. I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of them, especially considering the price, and I have repurchased them a couple of times since because I liked them so much. I’ve recently noticed that the Derma V10 range has expanded quite a bit and they now offer a lot of exciting looking beauty products. I have actually got quite a few interesting Derma V10 product reviews coming up on my blog soon, so stay tuned for that if you’re interested in finding out more!
Another thing I like about the Derma V10 brand besides the price and quality, is that all of their products are paraben free and not tested on animals. I have heard quite a few people rave about the Derma V10 body butters and knowing me, I won’t be content until I’ve tried every one from the range and I think that the coconut one is a good place to start but the Vanilla, Strawberry, Almond, Mango and Cocoa body butter varieties all sound amazing as well!

I hope you enjoyed this little chatty wishlist post!
Are there any beautiful bargain products that you’re lusting after right now?

  5. I love the 17 powder, rimmel stay matte is also good to try? x

  6. Thanks for commenting Livvy.

I haven't used the Rimmel Stay Matte powder for the longest time and yet I used to love it! I do get through a lot of powder so I may have to repurchase that one too 😉 xx

  7. Used the matte powder, one of my favorite powders! Pretty much the same to the rimmel one but the packaging has a nicer feel to it, has a mirror and applicator inside and has a more durable packaging to prevent cracking of the powder (which ALWAYS happens to me and the rimmel one!) xxx
