| Collective Makeup & Beauty Haul (Loreal, OPI, Sally Hansen, Max Factor, Rimmel, Dainty Doll, Kleenex, Malibu, Poundlan, Homebargains) I love picking up bargain beauty products as it gives me the opportunity to indulge my penchant for beauty, try out something new and not feel ultra guilty about overspending. But there is a good lesson here, even small purchases bought in a high enough quantity can really start to add up over time! Anyway, I’ll worry about that later! Lets just have a nosey at some of the things I’ve been buying recently shall we! Nails I’m sure that most of you who are interested have probably heard by now that genuine OPI shatter top coat nail polishes in various shades have been floating around lots of different ‘pound type shops’ for a while. This is pretty exciting news as many a ‘posh’ retailer still stock these exact shades of OPI shatter top coat and sell them for around £11.50 each! So naturally, I had to pick up all of the shades I could lay my hands on! I bought 5 spending about £5 but if I had bought them full price they would have set me back a whopping £57.50! So, I feel like I potentially saved £52.50 here! I also really like the Sally Hansen Salon manicure range and I added a couple more to my collection but unfortunately one of these turned out to be a duplicate of a shade I already have! I also picked up a random nail care thing (well, it was only 50p!) |

A few years ago, my all time favourite lip gloss was a Max factor Silk Gloss Sheer Frost one in the Shade Twinkling Pink. I wore that thing to death and was so sad when it ran out! I think that at the time it was one of the few lip glosses around that had that non-sticky lip balm feel so maybe that was one of the reasons I loved it so much! Unfortunately, it got discontinued so I resigned myself to purchasing one off Ebay at some point but then I spotted a few in my local Poundland! So, I picked up two of the shade I used to love and one in a different colour! I was a very happy bunny that day! I also picked up some bargain malibu lip balms and a Sleek lipstick (which is in a very weird copper shade but it was only 50p! Hmmm, will I just buy anything if it’s ‘only 50p’!?)

I think that the Dainty Doll makeup range from Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts may have been discontinued and a lot of the products can now be found in discount shops for a fraction of their original recommended retail price. I picked up three Dainty Doll eye shadows from Poundworld and I was stunned by how good they are! A lot of people have said they are on par with Urban Decay eye shadows and I just wished I’d have picked some up sooner while there were more shades available! I also picked up what I think is my first ever Bourjois eye shadow and again, for only 50p! (I have spend a lot of time rummaging through the Poundworld 50p clearance section recently!)

There’s something about cream blush / highlighters that I’m yet to understand, they just don’t generally work amazingly well for me. However, since these Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiant Shimmer Touch creams usually retail for £4.99 each and they were only £1 in Poundland, I thought I’d give them a go. If you have any tips and tricks for using products like these, please let me know! 🙂

Facial Cleansing
Well, there’s nothing ridiculously exciting to see here! I do like using a face wipe or baby wipe to remove the bulk of my face makeup but I always go in with a separate eye makeup remover and then wash or cleanse my face with a proper cleanser / face wash afterwards. Those cotton pads were quite good value and they seem to be really good quality too! I am really looking forward to trying that Azure Spa cloth face mask though! I can see it being featured in a Face Mask Friday post soon!

I really wish I’d had these little shampoo and conditioner sachets when I went on holiday a couple of months ago and had no room left in my suitcase to pack any conditioner! Still, at least next time I will be prepared!

And finally, these little bits are all super useful! The shower caps are great for when I leave in a hair treatment overnight like coconut oil or for when I put a toner on my hair and let it develop. The travel pots have a multitude of purposes. I like to put some hand cream in one to pop in my bag rather than carrying around a massive tube! The hand sanitiser is super dinky and should keep my hands germ free when soap and water is no where to be found!
