Car Boot Booty #8

Welcome back to another installment of Car Boot Booty where I’ll be showing you all of my latest beauty booty bargains purchased from the local car boot sale!

The first thing I picked up was this Body Shop Pomegranate Cream Cleanser which currently retails for £11.00 but I picked this up for £1.00. I’ve tried this a couple of times already and I really like it. It seems to have a slight warming sensation on the skin, it feels gentle and doesn’t sting while leaving my skin thoroughly cleansed without dryness.

I’ve tried a few Avon Senses shower gels before and I’ve always enjoyed them. The fragrances are lovely and there are often limited edition seasonal varieties available. This seventh heaven one has a relaxing musky floral scent but I think it has recently been discontinued which is a shame. I’ve really been enjoying using this one and it’s fast become my current go-to shower gel. This usually retails for £2.00 but I picked this up for £0.50p.

The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is something that I have wanted to try for a long time as it has been touted by many as a more affordable dupe for Bioderma. I’ve tried this a few times already and I really like this. It does a really good job of removing makeup but best of all, my skin feels very comfortable afterwards. Even if I don’t moisturize straight away, my skin doesn’t feel dry like it can do sometimes after cleansing. This can retail for up to £4.99 but I picked this up for £1.00.

This is a nice little shower gel that is from London based toiletries company Gilchrist & Soames. It smells fresh and slightly musky and the packaging looks luxurious. The company also supply hotel toiletries and this certainly wouldn’t look out of place in a high end hotel bathroom. It contains 45 ml of product and a full size version in 236 ml and retails for £13.75. I picked it up for £0.10p where as the equivalent size would retail for £2.62.

The next couple of products are also mini toiletries and they were only £0.10p each. These are from the upmarket Roger and Gallet brand that can be purchased from the Marks & Spencer beauty hall. This fragrance is part of their permanent collection but they’re branding has changed slightly and this is now the older style of packaging. There is a shower gel and a shampoo and they’re both brand new and sealed and contain 40 ml of product which makes these quite generous sample sizes. I have a feeling I’m going to enjoy using these!

I really enjoy The Body Shop’s products and this is a cute 60 ml sample of a body lotion in a Neroli jasmin fragrance. It smells absolutely beautiful and is quite zesty and sweet. As this is such a mini size, I might even use this as a hand cream as it’s a perfect handbag size. Once again, this was only £0.10p which I was very happy with!

This is another Body Shop product and it’s a good one! This Aloe Eye Defense gel-cream is about 80% full and it normally retails for £11.00 but I picked it up for £0.10p! It’s in a cute little pump bottle and it is super gentle around my area and doesn’t sting at all. It’s also a nice light texture that absorbs rather well.

Another eye cream here that retails for £13.00 whereas I picked it up for £0.10p and it seems to be almost full. This is the Sanctuary Spa Lift & Brighten Eye Complex. I always enjoy Sanctuary Spa products as they’re high quality, enjoyable to use and they seem to be quite effective! I’ve already tried this once or twice and it seems to do a lovely job of moisturizing and reducing puffiness.

This little sachet of a exfoliating foot cream is from the Sally Hansen brand which is probably better known for their nail polishes. I’m looking forward to pulling this out when I fancy a bit of a pamper evening. It was a bargain at only £0.10p again!

Last and yes, in this case probably least (!), there is another foot care product. This is a little exfoliating mouse for smoothing and buffing skin and it was £0.10p.

So, that’s all of the beauty stuff I picked up from the last car boot sale I went to. I was quite happy with everything and I think that there are some nice products here that may well become firm favorites soon. In fact, some already have done!

Have been to a car boot sale recently?
