Ebay Bargains: Essie Nail Polish Haul

If you’re a budget beauty babe like me, shopping around for bargains will probably be second nature to you. But what about Ebay bargains… do you trust the site or do you think that most beauty bargains on there are probably fakes?

I used shop on Ebay a lot, spending hours happily searching through the makeup and beauty listings looking for a good beauty bargain. Recently though, it’s been rare for me to shop on Ebay. I got put off by the amount of questionable goods being listed as genuine. A little while back, I saw Fee from Makeup Savvy post about an Essie Nail Polish Ebay bargain on Instagram. It looked great! I decided there and then to make my first Ebay bargain beauty buy in quite a while and *spoiler alert* I’m really glad that I did!

I purchased six full size Essie nail polishes for only £4.99 in total including free P&P. A single bottle Essie nail polish usually sells for around £7.99 in Boots. That means that all six of these cost me less than the usual RRP for just one!

My order arrived quickly, taking just a few days. A My Hermes courier delivered my parcel on a Sunday morning, which surprised me as I didn’t realise that Sunday parcel deliveries were even ‘a thing’ these days!

I’m happy with the various shades as they’re all quite different from each other and a couple are even rather unusual. The shades I purchased are:

Ruffles & Feathers, Roarrrrange, Strut Your Stuff, Twin Sweater Set, The Lace Is On & Haute In The Heat.

Ebay Bargains: Too Good To Be True?

When I see beauty bargains on Ebay, I usually question their authenticity. It’s a sad reality that fake beauty products listed as the real thing can and do appear on Ebay. I’m happy to report that these Essie polishes seem genuine! I’ve compared them to my other Essie nail polishes and there isn’t anything different about them.

If something looks like such a good deal that it makes you suspicious, it’s helpful to consider the reasons why something might be heavily discounted. These Essie nail polishes are shades from the Summer 2014 and Autumn 2013 seasonal collections so they’re considerably outdated now. Another important factor to consider is how credible the seller looks. In this case, the seller had lots of positive feedback so I felt confident about buying these. Also knowing that Ebay and PayPal offer buyer protection offers another reason to feel confident.

I’m so pleased with this Ebay bargain! I LOVE Essie nail polish and I’m very happy to add six more shades to my collection for a very good price.

How do you feel about purchasing makeup from Ebay? Would you feel confident about making a bargain buy?

  3. I’ve never purchased any make-up off ebay before as you hear so many bad things about the products however, the value for money factor is incredible! So glad they’ve worked out for you though! Charlotte // http://www.charlottespicks.com

    1. I don’t blame you for being careful about buying makeup on Ebay as there are a lot of fakes on there. There are a few gems on there too but it’s always risky xx
