£1 Derma V10 Coconut Body Butter Review

Derma V10 Coconut Body Butter

OK, so we all know that the Body Shop Body Butters are legendary and they’re amazing because they contain tons of gorgeous oils and are packed with organic and Fairtrade ingredients. But they’re kind of pricy too at £13 each which definitely makes them more of a special treat than an every day product for us girls on a budget!

So, how can we butter our bodies up without breaking the bank? Enter Derma V10 and their super inexpensive £1 body butters!

The basics at a glance:

Packaging: Round, plastic tub
Scent: Coconut
Consistency: A thick cream

Designed for: The body / normal to dry skin
Size: 220 ml
Price: £1

Available from: Poundland & Homebargains

The Derma V10 body butters certainly seem to model themselves on the Body Shop body butters in terms of packaging. They come in a very similar round plastic tub and at 220 ml they actually contain 20 ml of extra product over The Body Shop body butters. Also, like the Body Shop body butters, this one from Derma V10 isn’t tested on animals either!

‘Apply anywhere to help nourish the skin giving a radiant glow’
‘Pure flavour indulgence…’

Simple, but effective, eh? This product doesn’t over sell itself yet it well surpasses the usual expectations of a one pound body moisturizer. It contains some excellent moisturizing ingredients such as Cocoa Seed Butter and Coconut Oil which is fantastic for a product in this low price range. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturized. I can get quite dry skin on my body, especially during the cold winter months but this has been working wonderfully for my skin.

One of my absolute favourite things about this product is how quickly it sinks into my skin meaning that there is no need to wait around for it to absorb before getting dressed! This is such a bonus as it means that I can use it on even the most super busy mornings when I’m trying to quickly get ready for work.

It smells lovely although admittedly, as with lots of products, I stopped noticing the fragrance as much once I’d used it a few times. I suppose my nose must get desensitized to new scents quite quickly!

There are quite a few flavours available in this range including some fruitier varieties such as strawberry and mango but the ones I’ve seen most frequently in shops is this Coconut one and the Cocoa Butter one. I’ve almost used this one up now so I’m going to be trying the Cocoa Butter one next. The Cocoa Butter one actually looks quite interesting as it’s a bright orange colour and I’m looking forward to seeing how well it compares to this one.

The Derma V10 range is available in a lot of places including Poundland and Homebargains (where for all those super, duper, thrifty people out there, you may be interested to know that it retails for even less than in Poundland, at only a mere £0.89!)

I would highly recommend trying the Derma V10 body butters if you haven’t done so already. I have also been trying quite a few other products from the Derma V10 range over the past few months and I’ve even dyed my hair twice now using a £1 Derma V10 hair dye, so look out for those reviews on Miss Beauty Saver soon!

  1. The Body Shop coconut body butter is my favorite! I haven't tried any of the cheaper brands but I certainly would if I saw them!

  2. Contains nasties like parabens
