Famous x Baked Bronzer in ‘Miami’

This lovely Famous x Baked Bronzer in shade 1 ‘Miami’ is a gorgeous shimmery light gold toned colour. But this isn’t really what most people would consider to be a bronzer at all because this is perfect for highlighting rather than contouring!

This baked bronzer actually seems to be most comparable to the Mac Mineralize Skinfinishes and this shade could probably be considered as a bit of a dupe for the lightest Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle.

Famous x is owned by fb Beauty which is the same company that owns MUA; another really affordable and good quality makeup brand. I’ve also recently discovered that fb Beauty also owns VIVO makeup which is an up and comming budget freindly makeup brand that is now stocked by Tesco! I’d probably describe Famous x as MUA’s big sister as I feel like a lot of their products appeal greatly to females in their mid / late teens and early twenties. Of course, this is a brand that many young girls and older ladies will love too as their makeup is so well priced and the products are gorgeous. All of the packaging is absolutely stunning with Famous x products.

The only thing that may prevent some people from knowing about / ordering from Famous x cosmetics is that they are only available online and I know that for most people this won’t be a problem but for some people it may be difficult for them to order online. The famous x website is a great website to visit as you never know what offers they will have on at the moment. They often have 50% off everything and free delivery, which is just an incredible offer and almost impossible to resist taking advantage of! 😉

I’ve really been enjoying using the Famous x Baked Bronzer as it is completely different from any other bronzer in my collection. It’s quite a dual purpose product and there are a few ways that I like to use it. 1). I like to put in on my cheeks before my blush to create a more luminous kind of ‘lit from within’ glow. 2). I like to put it on the top of my cheekbones in the same way that I would do with a highlighter. 3). I also like to sweep some across my face with a big fluffy brush to finish off my makeup with a nice subtle glow.

I think that this product really compliments both fair and tanned complexions as I’ve tried it on my ultra fair skin and also after I’ve tanned a little. Any gold toned colour is always very flattering on a warmer or more tanned complexion and the darker you complexion is, the better this bonzer will work as a highlighter. If you have darker skin, there are also 2 more deper shades available in this range of baked bronzers: Hawaii and Bali. As this bonzer is quite a subtle and sheer colour, it suits paler skin tones as well and can be used to warm up the complexion a little. This bronzer isn’t massively pigmented but it is buildable which means you can build up your desired level of colour gradually.

Something else to bear in mind about the the Famous Baked Bronzers is that because they are a baked product, they can be used either wet or dry. When baked products are used wet, they tend to give a more flawless and almost airbrushed finish. To use a baked product wet, simply take a brush and spray it with either a little water or a makeup setting spray like the Elf one or Mac’s Fix Plus. Make sure that your brush isn’t too wet, it only needs to be slightly damp for best results. If you find that your brush is a little bit too wet, you can always give it a little wipe on a piece of kitchen paper or a flannel. Making sure your brush is only slightly damp also lessens the risk of creating any wet spots on your bronzer (wet spots happen when the water on your brush gets into the makeup and causes the surface of your product to become hardened).
