Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask: Aldi’s Pixi Glow + Sand & Sky Dupes

Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask

Out Now! New Aldi Specialbuys: Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask. Budget alternatives for the Pixi Glow Tonic + Sand & Sky Pink Clay Mask

The latest Aldi beauty dupes have just dropped and they’re available on Specialbuy right now. Two new products that will no doubt attract a lot of attention are the Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask.

But why are these latest beauty dupes likely to create such a stir? Aren’t these the type of thing that people not so long ago would have considered nothing more than ‘cheap knock-offs’ and subsequently avoided like the plague?

These days, it seems everybody has jumped on the bandwagon and racing to Aldi to grab the latest budget beauty knock-offs dupes has become a national sport.

It seems the savvy shopper trend has never been, well… Trendier actually!

Savvy Shopping: Can you really have it all?

Let’s face it, going broke over expensive beauty products is hardly ever worth it. But it’s no fun to go without the latest ‘must have’ item that everybody else seems to already have and is regularly flaunting all over Instagram.

But when you give into temptation only to find out later that you’ve left yourself with +£0.01p in your bank account and that has to last you until next payday, the regret is real.

You’re not poor because you can’t afford to buy it, you’re poor because you can’t afford to buy it but go ahead and buy it anyway!

Miss Beauty Saver, 2018

Sorry for the bluntness of my words but it’s meant as a somewhat tongue in cheek remark. Nevertheless, it no doubt rings true for many of us. Perhaps even truer than we would like to admit…

Beauty Dupes: Basically Lifesaving, Money Saving Stress Savers?

So, what about finding a happy medium where you can get the best of both worlds? A middle ground where we can have our cake and eat it, so to speak? #sillysayings

Enter budget beauty alternatives like these Aldi Lacura Specialbuy Dupes featuring alternatives for the Pixi Glow Tonic and Sand and Seas Pink Clay Mask.

It’s clear for all to see that both the Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask closely resemble the look of the originals with their similar packaging and that’s no accident! But do the products inside actually match up to the originals at all? And if they do compare, just how alike are they to their pricer counterparts and what kind of results can we realistically expect to get out of these cheaper alternatives?

If previous Aldi dupes are anything to go by, such as the Lacura Charcoal Mud Masks including the one I blogged about here, then we have every reason to be hopeful that these could save us a pretty penny and give us what we want in terms of product efficacy and enjoyment.

Coincidentally, the Charcoal range from which the aforementioned masks are part of is also back in stock at Aldi and on a Specialbuy from today.

Closing thoughts…

I think that the Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask look like excellent budget dupes.

The product details and formulations look promising, especially when one considers the massive similarities to the original ingredients.

It’s actually quite remarkable to think about how closely these products have been modelled on the originals. There is a lot of attention to detail here and Aldi clearly know what they are doing. I can’t help but feel impressed by the effort they must be making to replicate these higher end brands and products at a budget price point.

The Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask won’t be right for everybody especially given the potency of some of the ingredients. But the strength of the active ingredients will also be one of the reasons why these Lacura dupes are bound to be so popular: They genuinely have a lot of the same fast-acting and effective ingredients as the originals.

In conclusion…

It seems that the Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic & Pink Clay Mask may not only look the part but also act the part too.

Odds are that these will sell out in no time at all because that’s something we’ve seen before with previous similar Aldi Lacura Specialbuy beauty dupes.

Will you be trying to get your hands on either of these Lacura beauty dupes? Are you a fan of cheaper alternatives or do you prefer to stick to the real thing? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll always try to get back to you!

  1. These new products sound amazing, I just don’t know how they’re getting away with it legally haha! I really want to try their masks xx

    Gemma Etc. ❤️

    1. Hi Gemma. Yes! You are so right about that! In fact, I often wonder myself about how it can be possible to so blatently replicate better known products. While leeching other brands’ PR is highly questionable on a number of levels, presumably the savings made on advertising are at least partly responsible for the lower price point of these dupes. Legally, I can’t help but think we’ll see a significant court case happening over something like this eventually… Thanks for popping by hun and for leaving me a comment! x

  2. I wish I had enough money to try all these cool products, anyway, thanks a lot for this post, Hanna, I really appreciate it!

    1. Aw, thanks Georgina! Hope you get chance to try them out eventually. x

  3. I’ve seen a lot about Aldi dupes! They look wonderful and so good on a budget!

      Hi Amie!

Yes! They are certainly budget freindly, especially when compared to the higher end originals they’re replicating.

      Thanks for commenting!

  4. I don’t know how I feel about products like this. While I think it’s good that there’s a more affordable alternative, I’m not a fan of the outright copying of the other brands. I prefer to stick to the original but pick and choose my products carefully so it doesn’t break the bank x

    1. Hi Sophie!

Yes, absolutely! Finding the right skincare that’s best for you is no easy task and I’m happy you’ve found your happy place skincare-wise.

It sounds like you’re balancing out the higher cost of premium products by making selective choices and purchasing at lower quantities overall which means that you can stay loyal to your favourite brands and obtain the kind quality you are accustomed to.

I think that your approach to skincare is very smart!

Thanks for dropping by and leaving me a comment!

  5. I’ve wanted to try the glow tonic for a while but always worried it was just a hyped up product for nothing and I can’t overly afford to splash just to test whether or not that’s the case! So this might be a good option for me to at least try something that is somewhat similar!

    1. Hanna Rose says:

      Hi Jasmine!

Yes! I think that the Aldi Lacura Glycolic Glow Tonic might be a more accessible product for you to consider sampling.

I think these dupes are bringing something to people who may never try the real thing. But who knows, maybe after trying the dupe version, you might be even more sold on trying the original.

      Thanks for commenting!
